You can listen to NIDA for a long time without being tired, although it has a very detailed sound reproduction. It also has a very natural, dynamic and accurate punched bass even at very low volume. The sound of the wind instruments is very impressive, also you can feel a resonance of separate string instruments. Vocals and instruments are very well represented in deep and wide sound stage…

In my audiophile journey, I have experienced many different speakers, but so far there are none, that in my experience, can be compared with Nidas` musical reproduction. This active speaker system has been and is, a hair – raising experience. The details of the clarity of the instruments, and musical reproduction are difficult to surpass…

I will begin by mentioning that before the listening session I did not really know what to expect. I had a fair share of experience of listening to decent audio systems in mixing and mastering suites. However, listening to the NIDA sound system made me reconsider – it’s a completely different type of sensory stimulus, a different listening experience…

I don’t consider myself a person with any knowledge of how audio equipment works. But I enjoy listening. The type of listening where you can hear. And until today, it feels like I haven’t heard. I can be honest with myself, terms like stage or instrument separation felt more like something audiophile reviews were using to sell their products than something an untrained ear can actually appreciate. I haven’t actually heard any of that. Until today. NIDA is something out of a different world. A world based only on engineering know-how. I could compare that to the rocket science – you know in general that there’s a science behind every decision yet you can’t comprehend or appreciate the whole result until you experience it. And I have experienced it today…

NIDA is a timeless acoustic concept which never goes out of fashion.
I have participated in more than one of their performances, and so far, I cannot find a single blemish, a lack of anything that would require alteration or improvement for the enhancement of this excellent technical performance.
Currently, the best and highest quality components and the most innovative solutions are used in NIDA system, all of which has yielded an excellent result – you will want to listen to it, and never stop, the music simply engages you! Emotions fill the room, and you remain face to face with the performer. No exaggeration, nothing left out, every single recorded sound is heard clearly and without modification. I never thought I would be able to hear the work of the record operator, but NIDA provided an opportunity to capture even the slightest mistake of the director.
NIDA is excellent evidence of the fact that perfect equipment and systems can only be created by walking the path of science.

NIDA has a unique design that is precisely adjusted from A to Z. It can beat the vast majority of the world-known manufacturers. It will be equally good for any musical record or genre. And it reproduces the music with great precision. A piece played through NIDA will surely grab you like a whirlwind of positive emotions. Our audition lasted 6 hours. And I was not exhausted at all. This is also very important!
All the musical genres sounded perfectly, from jazz to metal, from organ works to electronic music. On the whole range, from low, to medium, and finally to high volume, I’ve heard no distortions. The low, mid and high frequencies all sounded ideally. There wasn’t a single fragment that could shatter the timbre balance and the dynamics. NIDA loudspeaker system is a great example of high precision in musical reproduction. And it reveals the individuality of each musical record. That’s how high definition sound systems differ from home audio.

NIDA acoustic system contains in itself the essence of the audio purity. One can compare this system to “Apple” Retina display, where even the human eye is unable to notice individual pixels. Lifeless digital symbols on the screen are transformed into text that looks like written on the paper. Likewise, NIDA acoustic system transforms recorded music, which is freed from the digital “prison” and creates illusion of live concert in your room. It’s not an exaggeration, that most people have never heard such sound resolution – and, unfortunately, will never have the opportunity to do so. When listening to the recorded sounds of crickets chirping or dogs howling, there was an impression that they sounded even better than the real thing. These sounds alone were thrilling, not to mention when the sounds of my favorite bands came out of the speakers. At certain point it seemed the emotions could just blow out the “fuses”.
Albums heard hundreds of times sounded like the first time. Meanwhile, music genres that I have never given much attention to or even disliked suddenly sounded so different, that I had to recheck my own musical prejudices. NIDA acoustic system seems to wash away the crust of time from the rusty old good music and let it become fresh, unheard, and innocent.

The concept and design of the acoustic system NIDA form perfect unity. Just looking at it, one gets an impression that there wasn’t another way to build it. The developer has matched shapes and colors perfectly, creating the emotion of absolute esthetics.
Personally, I couldn’t say much about the technical characteristics of the system – I’m not an expert in this area. However, I am a devoted music lover, so I could evaluate the quality of sound by listening to records of different musical genres. One thing is clear – I have never felt that way. The liveliness of the musical scene, the instruments and the performer’s voice, the sound resolution that allows hearing every small musical detail and even the silence itself. Yes, the silence – for the first time in my life I have heard the sound of silence. The feelings were unique and wonderful. Some CD albums by my favorite artists sounded absolutely fresh in the way that I have never heard them. At some moments there were tears in my eyes. The audition seamlessly took several hours and left the deepest impression, so I am really grateful for the opportunity to experience these emotions.(Read more …)

The main advantage of the “Nida” loudspeaker system is its ability to play any musical genre and material – in other words, its versatility and neutrality. The complex and varied sound of the live big band, subtle female vocals and electronic music – all of it sounds equally good. The system presents precise and revealing monitor sound which lacks nothing and where nothing sticks out – bad recordings will sound bad whereas the good ones will reward you with their best. The designer’s philosophy coincides with mine – a loudspeaker system must be active, it should use professional grade components, designed with engineering and common sense in mind, with no snake oil or space-metal alloys. We had some disputes concerning the number of drivers, and their crossover frequencies; I was expecting some reproduction inaccuracies at the crossover point, with it being in the middle of the most acute range of human hearing, and I was pleasantly surprised when I found none. Professional TAD drivers account for system’s high sensitivity which in turn leads to low distortion levels, sound transparency, and extended dynamic range. A unique design axisymmetric high frequency horn is a very bold move. Exquisite exterior design is certainly worth praising, the system was built using the highest quality materials, all the parts were milled on a CNC machine, so they fit perfectly. The loudspeakers give off an impression of stone monoliths; exotic wood panels complement the good looks without affecting the sound.

I’ve been interested in acoustics as a branch of physics for about 10 years. During this period, I’ve had an opportunity to listen to some relatively high level home acoustic systems: Focal Diablo Utopia, Tannoy Canterbury SE, Audio Note AN-E SEC Signature…
NIDA has left an impression of a universal audio monitor system with a smooth tonal balance, superb time characteristics and massive sound stage. It will easily handle even the most sophisticated records in any musical genre, and play it without distortion.
Here are some examples from a large collection of CDs we’ve listened that I’d like to mention:
Erik Satie “Messe des Pauvres” (ECM Records, 1993) performed by Christopher Bowers- Broadbent. Clearly audible late reflections of the organ sound from the walls convey the sense of a large hall space. This indicates a good transient response of the loudspeakers.
Hugh Masekela “Stimela” – an Afro-American male vocal performer with instrumental accompaniment. This is a high-quality recording of a live performance at the restaurant with a very wide dynamic range. It was reproduced by NIDA without a hint of acoustic compression. You could count the number of people in the restaurant by the applause and cries of the audience at the end of the performance!
I can summarize and confidently say that NIDA is one of the most advanced and the best sounding speaker systems that I ever had a chance to listen.

While listening to soft music with minimal loudness one is amazed by a lot of details and sound transparency. Great reproduction of all frequencies and perceived pulsed force. While listening to various music with average loudness there are also no complaints. When you listen to intense music with maximum loudness, you can feel yourself on the verge of physical capacity of enduring such level of sound quite near you but you hear no blurring. NIDA doesn’t embellish poor-quality recording as some sound-reproducing systems do, however it gives us an opportunity to admire the soul of music. The sound has no commercialization in it or indulgence to any specific taste.
The system creators can be praised for excellent and laconic esthetics. It looks like as if the exterior of the acoustic system beats with immense force!
I had an opportunity to listen to different systems of such major/expensive brands as MBL, Avantgarde, Sonus Faber, Audio Note, JMlab, Magico and B&W, however listening to NIDA gave us one more level quality of standard. It is very difficult to compare acoustic systems: various components, premises, different music, however I can tell easily confirm that NIDA is one of the best systems that impressed me greatly.

I’d call NIDA an acoustic complex as the solution is non-traditional: here a dedicated crossover and two powerful amplifiers have been used. I would like to give a brief assessment of the system: the sound is excellent!
I listened to the system for 4 hours, so I had time not only for listening various music. I wanted to feel the sound color balance (it is impeccable), meticulously listen to artifacts of different frequency pass-band bounce (there were none). I was greatly impressed by neutral sound that doesn’t affect different types of music according to the so-called device common denominator. Soft music replay is one of the factors determining the quality of acoustic systems. In reality you don’t want to increase the sound volume in NIDA because of the insufficiency of musical performance. And if you want to hear loud symphony orchestra or rock music, you get very intense live sound without any distortions.

I have not heard a sound any better!
The first piece played at very low sound level. Easy jazz, female vocals. I paid special attention to the sounding of “S”. It is the weak spot in many systems. I can’t hear anything except striking vocal purity. Having listened for some more pieces I can state that the system has an ideal separation of the instruments. Crossover does not show any delay. Such a feeling that there was no filter, and I was listening to the music through STAX electrostatic headphones. No frequencies were lost while listening at low volume, the entire range of sounds could be heard. The bass register was natural as if the real musical instruments were playing in the room. The last quiet work at the church by Jose Carreras was so pure that I felt like standing in front of the choir. The conclusion was clear – timbre balance of the system NIDA is flawless. -
It’s like two monumental towers disturbing the quietness of eternal secrets. But sacred silence can only be awakened by the sounds approaching perfection. Two significantly standing anthropomorphic shapes, having revived spread engineering idea, convey all the modes of human existence, soul, and cosmic vibrations. No criteria can be expressed for evaluations as the NIDA has no analogues. This is one of the most spectacular wonders of the world.

I liked the concept of the speakers and acoustic solutions which were never seen before. It is good news that in the system NIDA used top quality professional drivers and it has a very stable, scientifically designed wooden frame construction. Acoustic system NIDA allows pleasure of listening to my favorite albums which I frequently use to test sound quality in various professional studios. Other CD albums, which were demonstrated by the author, sounded perfectly as well.
